High school students to attend CSC Art Day

Published:

More than 120 students from 12 high schools are scheduled to attend Chadron State College’s Art Day at Memorial Hall on Monday, Nov. 5. The students will be on campus from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Each student will participate in three workshops administered by CSC faculty and students. Topics include photography, sculpture, glass blowing, drawing, graphic design, printmaking, silverpoint drawing and ceramics.

“Art Day gives students an opportunity to experience activities that they don’t get to take part in at the high school level,” said Richard Bird, chairman of the CSC art department. “It also gives us an opportunity to show potential students what CSC has to offer.”

High schools that will be represented are Bayard, Bridgeport, Crawford, Douglas, S.D., Edgemont, S.D., Gordon-Rushville, Hay Springs, Hemingford, Kimball, Mitchell, Morrill and Sioux County.
